Le séjour de la reine Victoria et de sa suite dans la station climatique de Hyères au printemps de 1892 marqua durablement la ville. Grâce à un press-book d’un exceptionnel intérêt et illustré par des photos rarement vues, cette conférence retrace ce séjour mémorable de la souveraine britannique dans le Var.
PIERRE AVRIAL : chargé de projet « Ville d’art et d’histoire » pour la commune d’Hyères où il est en charge de la valorisation de l’architecture et du patrimoine. Il est par ailleurs l’auteur du livre « Le Var dans l’Histoire » (éditions Complicités, 2023) enseignant à l’Université de Toulon.
