«Название моего проекта родилось из шутки. Есть такое шампанское Charpentier Brut, а я собирался создать этакую смесь между музыкой Justice и Джона Карпентера, так что прозвище подошло как нельзя лучше», - пишет сам музыкант.
"Ностальгия по «американским» 80-м все чаще накатывает на мир медиа. Фотографии, обработанные состаривающими и VHS-фильтрами, пародии на боевики с Жаном-Клодом Ван Даммом и Чаком Норрисом. Творчество Carpenter Brut способно вернуть в эпоху видеокассет даже тех, кто с ней незнаком.
Группа не скрывает, что вдохновлялась творчеством режиссера Джона Карпентера, знаменитого своими картинами «Нечто», «Побег из Нью-Йорка» и «Большой переполох в маленьком Китае». Под стать фильмам именитого деятеля киноиндустрии и клипы коллектива. Погони, девушки и густой сочный шум синтезаторов.
Музыка шагнула далеко вперед по сравнению с «электро» прошлого столетия. Музыка глубокая и насыщенная, с применением высококлассных инструментов и технологий. Однажды послушав, никогда больше не спутаешь их с кем-то еще."
Найти много информации о музыканте сложно. Он старается держаться инкогнито, но выступает в составе живой группы.
Важно знать, что Carpenter Brut считается значимой фигурой в ретровейв-движении и принимал активное участие в написании саундтрека к компьютерной игре "Hotline Miami 2".
