Quand Civil Civic, duo australien émigré à Londres & Barcelone, a sorti son premier single « Less Unless » au début 2010, un tsunami s’est abattu sur la blogosphère. Leur son, rêche et brut (mix de guitares post punk, de déflagrations de basses distordues de synthés analogiques et de beats puissants) produit le même effet qu’une drogue puissante sur l’auditeur. Dangereusement addictif ! Leur premier LP incendiaire : « Rules », acclamé par la critique, est selon Aaron Cupples, guitariste du groupe, un album pour faire la fête écrit par des gens torturés…
