☰ TOE
toe est un groupe de musique japonais composé de Kashikura Takashi à la batterie, Mino Takaaki et Yamazaki Hirokazu à la guitare et Yamane Satoshi à la basse. Toe a évolué avec cette formation depuis la formation du groupe en 2000.
TOE s’apprête à quitter le sol Japonais pour nous envahir… et on ne demande que ça ! Le groupe à tout pour conquérir nos territoires en sérieux manque de couleur : élégante, sucrée, énergique la musique de ce groupe instrumental tape dans un math-rock aux angles pop, rappelant une version pétillante et pastelle de Tortoise. Tout à la fois complexe, accrocheur, facile à écouter et passionnant à explorer, TOE n’en finit pas de ravir nos petits cœurs de post-rockeurs sensibles à coups d’Ep, d’albums (2 LP à ce jour) et d’un DVD de très haute volée sortis sur leur propre label Machu Picchu.
« If the stars had a sound, it would sound like this. » écrivait Mogwaï en propulsant son premier magnifique album, la sentence s’appliquerait à merveille au son de TOE tant il semble évoquer des rêveries stellaires et addictives.
Le groupe effectue de nombreux concerts au Japon. Leurs performances live explosives sont réputées pour être uniques et tiennent leurs fans en haleine partout dans le monde.
Toe réserve au public parisien une performance unique le 18 août prochain dans la cale du Batofar, c’est le moment de prendre votre place !
