Originaire de Townsville, Australie, et installé à Paris depuis deux ans, Nathan Roche a officié sous de nombreux alias (Marf Loth, Camperdown & Out), publiant au fil des années plus de 15 albums. Entouré du Villejuif Underground, on le classe volontiers dans la lignée de Jonathan Richman ou Kevin Ayers de par son aisance déconcertante à écrire des hits et la distance dont il fait preuve par rapport à ceux ci.
