Artiste chorégraphique iranienne, Rana Gorgani se consacre aux danses du monde persan et à la danse soufie. À travers sa danse, elle retrouve l’essence même de la culture persane qui a traversé les siècles et l’histoire.
Se détachant de la tradition et des codes religieux, la chorégraphe développe depuis plusieurs années son approche de la spiritualité soufie et de la danse des derviches tourneurs dans un travail de recherche et d’expérimentation.
Ce spectacle « Mystic Machine » est un dialogue à travers univers traditionnel et monde contemporain. Vivant dans une société où la surproduction d’informations nous suffoque, Rana Gorgani utilise les images comme le revêtement de sa danse qui transforme la matière en un mouvement continu et impalpable.
Lumière et obscurité se confondent dans un flot de tournoiement. La danse révèle avec simplicité les liens qui se tissent entre le passé, le présent et l’avenir.
Le spectateur est pris dans un tourbillon de son et de lumière pour un voyage hors du temps alliant création visuelle et chorégraphique.
