Whitney est le projet du duo de compositeurs Max Kakacek (Smith Westerns) et Julien Ehrlich (Unknown Mortal Orchestra). D’autres musiciens talentueux comme le trompettiste et producteur Will Miller composent le groupe de Chicago.
Leur premier album "Light Upon The Lake" sortira le 3 juin.
Gabriel Auguste
En solo, Gabriel Auguste se dévoile et nous entraîne au coeur de son univers. A travers ses histoires, sa musique et les clips qu'il réalise seul, il nous emmène sous un soleil d'été, loin du tumulte des mégapoles. On connaissait son attachement pour le début des seventies et la pop ouatée de Canterbury, il distille ici leurs effluves qu'il mêle aux vapeurs de la soul. Gabriel porte sur le monde le regard nostalgique d’un gamin du siècle qui voudrait pousser les murs pour laisser passer l’air iodé et le vent chaud. Sensible et intemporelle, sa musique est douce comme une caresse.
