Diplo, Fatboy Slim ou encore James Murphy ne jurent que par leurs tracks. C'est que le duo brésilien Fatnotronic propose une mixture sonore imprégnée de musique de son pays et de disco qui fait des merveilles sur les dancefloors. Gorky, ancien de Bonde do Role, et Phillip, moitié de Killer Of The Dancefloor, compose ce couple gagnant, qui opère un retour vers le futur en piochant notamment dans l'immense patrimoine musical de Sao Paolo, leur ville natale. Depuis le titre “Margarida” (2014), carton au-delà des frontières de son grand pays, le binôme paulista n'en finit plus de distiller son groove infectieux et vintage, comme sur le EP “Brazilian Compilation Vol. 1” sorti cette année, le titanesque "Karma" sur le label DEEWEE des frangins de 2manydjs Soulwax (band) ou bien encore le magnifique "Onda Anda" double EP sur Razor-N-Tape à l'occasion du Disquaire Day. Les Hypnolove sont de vrais européens dans leur racine, comme on le déduit déjà du nom de leur premier album, “Eurolove”. Henning (claviers) est allemand, Chiquinho (voix et percussions) est portugais, et Nicolas (guitare et basse) est français. Ils aiment tous les trois l’Eurodance, les lignes de basse à l’italienne, les chanteurs italiens, la musique électro allemande, la pop britannique, mais aussi les classiques de R&B ou plus récemment des artistes comme Connan Mockasin, le plus anglais des néo-zélandais.
Après des somptueux remixes pour Sébastien Tellier (“Fingers Of Steel”, le remix hommage à Rondo Veneziano, ou “La Ritournelle”), Go Go Charlton, Siobanh Donaghy, Showgirls, ou tout récemment Findlay Brown. Le tout en composant soigneusement un 2ème album toujours sur Record Makers produit par Mickey Moonlight, le maestro d’Ed Banger.
Ils viennent de publier "La Piscine", un nouvel EP rafraichissant, accompagné de nombreux remixes. Si Voilaaa, Lewis OfMan et Lucien ont donné leurs versions de ce titre et va vous faire danser tout l'été

Quelle autre ville que New York pouvait accoucher d'une telle fusion entre disco, house, funk et electro ? Le projet In Flagranti dont la cote ne cessera de grimper éternellement à la bourse des DJ distille un groove torride et profondément sexy. Autant de bombes disco house qui ne demandent qu'à mettre le feu aux dance-floors où le groupe se mue en machine de guerre sexuelle.
